Cosm Signs NBA On Immersive Reality Experiences

Los Angeles-based Cosm, which provides immersive reality technology, has inked a deal with the NBA, to offer what it calls a "shared reality experience" for fans. Cosm said it will produce and present "select" games from NBA League Pass, the NBA's out-of-market live game streaming service, in immersive 8K LED-dome systems at its venues. The company said its system will make people "feel like they are in an NBA Arena", combining visuals with food and beverage, specialized merchandise at its venues. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The company has a venue at Hollywood Park, and is working on a second venue in Dallas.
