Darwin Dimensions Ties With 3D Software Firm
Aliso Viejo-based Darwin Dimensions, developer of the Evolver web-based tool for building 3D avatars, said this week that it has linked with Dassault Systemes and its 3DVIA software. The firm said it is powering the 3DVIA website, powering a feature which allows users to create their own, 3D character models. The site is aimed at creative professionals, casual game developers and 3D enthusiasts. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Darwin Dimensions said the characters will be able to be used in Dassault's 3DVIA Studio, 3DVIA Scenes, and 3DVIA Virtools 3D development environments, via a purchase price of $39 per character.
