Data Center Provider Opens New Data Center In The OC
A colocation and cloud services provider, Latisys, said today that it is planning a big expansion in Orange County, with the opening of a new, 22,000 square foot data center in Irvine. Latisys, which owns the former operations of InteleNet in Irvine, said the space is the first part of a 93,000 square foot data center being built in the location. The company already owns a 50,000 square foot data center in Irvine, which it has run since 1994. Latisys said the new facility will make it the largest data center operator in the Orange County market. Latisys is private equity backed by Great Hill Partners and Catalyst Investors.
