Demand Media Raises $120M, Buys eNom
Los Angeles-based Demand Media, a new company headed by Richard Rosenblatt, former CEO of Intermix Media and chairman of MySpace, has raised $120M and purchased a major provider of domain name registration, eNom. The firm said Monday that it has acquired Seattle-based eNom, the world's third largest domain name registrar, as part of its strategy to profit from highly-trafficked domain names. Funding for the deal came from Spectrum, Oak Investment Partners, and Generation Partners. More information »
