Digital Map Products Acquires Mexican Business Info Company
Irvine-based Digital Map Products, a developer of geospatial mapping technology and related products, said on Tuesday that it has acquired Mexico Business Directory (MDB). MDB owns a geocoded database of business locations in Mexico, and has approximately 1.6 million records, according to Digital Map Products. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. DMP said the acquisition is the second for the company this year, including an acquisition in July of DMTI Spatial, a Canadian location intelligence and data company. Digital Map Products said the acquisition of MDB was funded, in part, by a strategic growth investment from Silversmith Capital Partners. DMP said it was advised by Choate Hall & Stewart LLP in the acquisition; MBD was advised by Sapient Capital Partners and Loopstra Nixon LLP.
