Disney Online Launches Tweener Site
North Hollywood-based Disney Online said Friday that it has rolled out a new site, DisneyXD, targeted at the "tween" market. The Disney unit said that the online and mobile site would target kids and tween boys with action-based games, full length video, music, sports, and other similar themes. The new site will be ad supported, and includes community features, the ability to create your own avatar, play games related to the firm's tween-focused titles such as Aaron Stone and Phineas and Ferb, and view full length shows. The new web site is tied into Disney's rollout of Disney XD, a new basic cable channel.
