Disney Opens Up Apps For 2020 Disney Accelerator
The Walt Disney Company has opened up applications for its startup accelerator, the 2020 Disney Accelerator, saying that applications are due by April 3rd to apply for its three month mentorship program. According to Disney, it will select ten "growth-stage" startups to participate in its program, connecting them with Disney's leadership team and other mentorship. Disney said this year's program will begin in July, and run for three months until a Demo Day in October. This year's program will be run out of Disney's campus in Glendale. According to Disney, it is specifically looking for companies in artificial intelligence, augmented reality, e-commerce, data analytics, frontier tech, and robotics. Some prior participants in Disney's accelerator are Epic Games; Sphero; StatMuse, and Kahoot!
