DivX In Licensing Deal With NEC
San Diego-based DivX is continuing to extend the firm's license deals with consumer electronics firm, saying Tuesday that it has signed a multi-year license deal covering its DivX Plus HD technology with NEC Electronics. The firm's technology will be included in NEC's Enhanced Multi-Media Architecture (EMMA) chips, which will be used in set-top boxes, Blue-ray players, and digital televisions. Financial details of the license were not disclosed.
