Docstoc Launches Document Marketplace
Santa Monica-based DocStoc, the online document sharing site run by Jason Nazar, is announcing this afternoon that the firm has launched a new, online store which will allow people to both buy and sell professional documents. The firm said the new DocStore is an "iTunes for documents" and will include documents from such partners as Legal Zoom, Real Deal Docs, Ready Built Forms, Write My Essay, Home Business Forms, Spreadhseet Zone, Small Business Forms, 4Expertise, Podium Notes, and Peak Strategy. The new online store will allow users to pay for documents with a credit card, PayPal, or Google Checkout. The firm is looking to leverage the traffic to the site's library of professional documents, beyond its current advertising revenue stream. DocStoc said it is now getting over 8 million unique visitors a month to the site.
