Eusoh Finds $2M For Veterinary Insurance

Los Angeles-based fintech startup Eusoh, which is offering up an alternative to insurance for veterinary care, said this week that it has raised $2M in a seed funding round. Source of the funding was not announced. The startup--which had disclosed the funding to socaltech in April--is led by Dr. Allen Kamrava, and bands together groups of pet owners and others to spread the risk (and cost) of unexpected pet bills by using its technology platform, at a cost that the company says is much less than traditional insurance. The company says it is in the midst of a Series A funding round. Eusoh's service is currently focused on veterinary expenses, however, Kamrava says the company hopes to be able to also apply its technology to other markets. Eusoh says the new funding round will go to further scale its technology and marketing operations. More information »
