Everbridge Wins City of New Orleans
Glendale-based emergency notification provider Everbridge announced this morning that it has scored a customer win with the City of New Orleans, which will use the company for map-based emergency notifications. Everbridge--which provides systems to notify people of emergencies via text message, phone, and email--said its systems will be used by NOLA to send out map-based alerts for things like hurricanes, Mardi Gras information, and more. Everbridge did not say what the contract is worth, but the win is significant in that New Orleans has been the poster child for why you need an emergency notification system for your city. Everbridge's map-based notifications lets the city send out alerts and updates to only specific parts of the city.
