Pasadena-based Evolution Robotics, the Idealab-backed company which develops robotics technology, said today that it has rolled out a navigation system for robots. Evolution Robotics said that its NorthStar 2.0 system has been adopted by WowWee Group in its new Rovio telepresence robot, which is debuting at CES this week. According to Evolution Robotics, the new system is being used to create intelligent floor care robots, smart toys, and telepresence robots. The Rovio product from WowWee is expected to be available in Q2 of this year. WowWee is the toy company behind the popular "Robosapien" and "Roboreptile" robot toys.
