Fandango Acquiring Vudu Streaming Service From Walmart
Los Angeles-based movie ticketing and movie streaming company Fandango is acquiring the Vudu on-demand video streaming service from Walmart, according to a notice from Vudu on its website. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to Vudu, Fandango will continue to run the video streaming service, and all of its users will continue to have access to their movies and television shows they have purchased. Vudu will also continue to power Walmart's digital movie and TV store at Walmart.com. Walmart acquired Vudu in 2010.
