Fandango Hosts Al Gore For Screening In LA
Los Angeles-based online movie site Fandango is hosting former U.S. Vice President Al Gore at a screening of the film, An Inconvenient Sequel, at LA's Greek Theater this week, the company announced this morning. Fandango said Gore will be joined by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt for a screening and Q&A about the film, which tackles the changes that have taken place since Gore's documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. The film debuts nationwide on July 28th. The new film tackles the lack of progress on tackling the perils of climate change, but posits that climate change can still be "overcome with human ingenuity and passion." A trailer released in March took sharp aim at the current Presidential administration, which denies that climate change exists, despite wide scientific consensus that humans are causing potentially irreversible changes to the earth's atmosphere. Fandango said the special screening is open to the public and free to attend, but that tickets are first come first serve.
