Fisker Attempts Delivery Of Full, Climate Neutral Vehicles By 2027
Los Angeles-based electric vehicle developer Fisker Inc. said this morning that it is targeting delivery of a full, climate-neutral vehicle--where even all the components that make up the vehicle are "climate neutral"--by 2027. According to the EV maker, it will attempt to produce a climate neutral vehicle by 2027, without purchasing climate offsets to achieve the goal. Typically, "offsets" -- which fund climate projects such as tree planting, wind farms, or solar panels -- have been used by manufacturers to claim carbon neutrality. That said, Fisker said that although the company itself will not use offsets to achive carbon neutrality, the supply chains of suppliers and logistics partners may contain offsets to achieve climate neutrality.
