Fonality Gets Major Win At Dell
Los Angeles-based Voice-over-IP software firm Fonality said today that the firm's products have been selected by Dell Computer. According to Fonality, Dell has selected the firm as a go-to-market partner to offer VoIP phone systems to its small and mid-sized customers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, Fonality develops voice-over-IP PBX software, based on the open source Trixbox PBX software, which it sells and markets to small and medium businesses. The software replaces more expensive, dedicated hardware PBX systems for managing office phone systems. Fonality's services are now being co-marketed by Dell on Dell's web site. Fonality is venture backed by Intel Capital and Azure Capital Partners.
