BetterBrand Raises $6M In Series A

Los Angeles-based BetterBrand announced this morning that it has raised $6M in a Series A funding round. The company said the funding was led by VERSO Capital, and also included Gaingels Fund, Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six, and Craft Lane, along with angels Kyle Vogt (Cruise), Chris Hollod, Jeff and Glenne Azoff, Sean Thomas (Wendy's), plus actors Patrick Schwarzenegger and Emmy Rossum. The company said the funding round gave it a pre-money valuation of $170M. BetterBrand is led by CEO and founder Aimee Yang; the company said it behind the brand "The Better Bagel".
