General Assembly Acquired By Adecco For $412.5M
General Assembly, the provider of technology education which is very active in Los Angeles, has been acquired by Swiss staffing company Adecco Group, in a $412.5M acquisition deal. Adecco Group said it would acquired General Assembly to help complement its existing solutions, plus to position it in the fast growing "up-/re-skilling" segment of the market. Adecco said that General Assembly had 2017 revenues of approximately $100M. Adecco Group is based in Zurich, Switzerland. General Assembly has 20 campuses across the US. The company's Los Angeles location has been a fixture in the local startup market.
