Global Fitness Media Launches New Fitness Site
Los Angeles-based Global Fitness Media has officially launched its fitness web site FitOrbit, focused on helping users connect with fitness trainers and track their fitness training and meal planning online. According to Global Fitness, its new FitOrbit site will provide everything a user needs in a daily fitness plan, including meals, recipes, nutritional information, and multimedia exercise instructions, in addition to access to hundreds of personal trainers. Global Fitness Media was co-founded by Jake Steinfeld, of Body by Jake Global and Exercise TV, and is run by Nick Desai. The firm is backed by Polar Capital Group, the private investment group of former Google VP Tim Armstrong, along with prolific angel investor Ron Conway, and also operates GoodFoodNearYou, an online site focused on finding healthy food at fast food chains.
