GoFundMe Opens Hurricane Irma Fundraising Hub
San Diego-based GoFundMe, the crowd funding site focused on social funding campaigns, said over the weekend that it has set up a Hurriane Irma Fundraising Hub. According to GoFundMe, the page will act as a centralized hub for campaigns created to help those affected by Irma, after a devastating trip through the Caribbean islands and into Florida. GoFundMe said the dedicated Hurricane Irma page allows anyone to donate to an existing campaign, or create their own campaign for an individual or charity. Irma was finally downgraded to a tropical storm this morning, as it still continues to impact Florida, and is moving into Georgia and South Carolina.
