Gorilla Nation, ProFlowers, eHarmony See February Traffic Surge
The latest comScore Media Metrix ranking of top growing Internet properties shows that, among Southern California's Internet companies, Gorilla Nation, ProFlowers, and eHarmony saw big gains in their Internet traffic in February. According to comScore's February 2010 numbers, GN Kids, Gorilla Nation's kids-focused online ad network, was number six in terms of percentage change in unique visitors -- up 241 percent between January and February. The report said that GN Kids now had 5.6 million unique visitors in February. Among other gaining sites were ProFlowers.com, which had a surge of 412 percent in uniques, to 5.3 million visitors; and eHarmony, the number one personals site for February, up 82 percent with 5.0 million Americans. Both ProFlowers and eHarmony's traffic was driven by Valentine's day traffic, according to comScore. comScore runs monthly numbers tracking Internet traffic across the largest web sites. Gorilla Nation is based in Santa Monica; eHarmony is based in Pasadena; and Proflowers is based in San Diego.
