GoTV Networks Acquired By Phunware
Sherman Oaks-based GoTV Networks, the provider of mobile applications and content, has been acquired by a Texas mobile software developer, Phunware. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Phunware, the acquisition will add offices in San Francisco, Sherman Oaks, and San Diego. Phunware is a developer of mobile applications for major brands and publishers. GoTV Networks was represented by Siemer & Associates in the deal. The firm was venture backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Charles River Ventures, and Motorola. Phunware is venture backed by Frontera Group, Siemer Ventures and Stonnington Group -- all SoCal investors.
