Guidance Software Files For IPO
Pasadena-based Guidance Software, a developer of software used for digital forensics, has filed for an IPO. Guidance, in an SEC filing Friday, said it is looking to raise up to $80M in an IPO on the Nasdaq under the symbol GUID. The IPO is being underwritten by Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, Wachovia Securities, and A.G. Edwards. Guidance reported earnings of $1.6M on revenues of $39.5M in the year ending December 31, 2005. The firm reported a loss of $1.6M on $24.57M for the six months ending June 30, 2006. The company is privately funded. Guidance lists former CIA director George Tenet, and former In-Q-Tel president Amit Yoran on its board.
