Headspace Lands $36.7M More
Los Angeles-based Headspace, which develops meditation applications for your smartphone or tablet, has raised $36.7M in funding, the company disclosed on Friday. The funding came from Spectrum Equity. The company has now raised $73.7M in total. Headspace is now led by co-founder Rich Pierson, after a a big management shakeup. Headspace has previously raised funding from The Chernin Group, Advancit Capital, Allen & Co., Breyer Capital, Broadway Video Ventures, Deerfield Management, Freelands Ventures, and William Morris Endeavor, along with such celebrities as Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, Jared Leto, and Ryan Seacrest.
