HelloTech Nears $10M Round, Says Report
Los Angeles-based HelloTech, the in-home, information technology support service led by Richard Wolpert, is close to closing a $10M, Series A funding round, according to reports. The funding is reportedly led by Madrona Venture Group. HelloTech taps into a distributed network of college students, who provide in-home, tech support--mostly to boomers and older adults. The company has previously raised funding from Accel Partners, Amplify.LA, CrossCut Ventures, and Upfront Ventures, all of whom are reportedly also participating in this funding. Wolpert is best known for his work at startup accelerator Amplify.LA, as well as serving as former Chief Strategy Officer at RealNetworks; he's also a very active LA area angel investor and advisor.
