Honey Provides Chrome Users With Savings Shortcut
Are you a user of the Chrome web browser? Busy doing your holiday shopping? A newly launched, Chrome extension, Honey--developed by a Pasadena-based startup--is making it a lot easier for you to find those online coupon deals and discount codes. Honey, which installs alongside your Chrome browser, automatically looks up coupon codes for such popular e-commerce sites like Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Zulily, Target, and others. According to the firm, it just hit 60,000 installs for the plugin. Honey's plugin detects when users are checking out of the different stores it tracks, and then presents a list of coupon codes just as a user is checking out, and finds the best one to use for that purchase. Honey was co-founded by Ryan Hudson and George Ruan.
