HopSkipDrive Raises $22M More For Youth Transportation Efforts

Los Angeles-based HopSkipDrive, which offers up transportation services to help kids gets to and from school, hsa raised another $22M in funding, the company said today. The funding came from Cyrus Capital Partners, State Farm Ventures, plus Upfront Ventures, FirstMark Capital and Greycroft. According to the company, it has now raised $44M in total funding. HopSkipDrive said the new funding goes towards expanding into new markets, plus partnerships with schools, districts and counties. HopSkipDrive originally had launched as an Uber-like service to get kids to and from schools and activities--using certified child care providers--but has has a major business working with schools, school districts, and counties. The company said it now has partnerships over 200 schools, districts and counties across 13 markets in eight states and Washington DC. The company says its marketplace helps districts with fluctuating transportation demands, rather than having to re-route buses or add bus routes. More information »
