ImageCollect.com Grows Celebrity Photo Library
Los Angeles-based AudioMicro, which operates a network of online content licensing marketplaces for audio, photos, and more, is announcing today that it has grown its library of pictures on site ImageCollect to 1.5 million photos. ImageCollect is focused on celebrity photos, offered up using the microstock photo model. AudioMicro said ImageCollect is adding around 25,000 images per day. ImageCollect is AudioMicro's attempt to apply the microstock model--using amateurs and others willing to license out their photos, royalty free--instead of the more expensive, traditional photo licensing agency model. The site apparently has been used by customers US Weekly, Life & Style, Tribune Media Services, NY Times Magazine, and Star Magazine. AudioMicro is run by Ryan Born.
