Ingram Micro Expands In Indianapolis
Irvine-based Ingram Micro, the IT services giant, said that its Ingram Micro Commerce & Lifecycle Services arm is opening up a second facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. According to the company, the new facility will be used for IT asset disposition (ITAD) for its customers, and is the fourth facility it now runs for disposal of IT assets; the other centers include an existing one in Indianapolis, plus one in Chandler, Arizona and Pine Brook, New Jersey. The facilities help provide secure disposal and recycling of electronics, and in particular ensure data erasure and drive destruction for its corporate customers. Ingram Micro said the new center will eventually bring over 150 jobs to the Indianapolis metro area.
