Iomega Taps Verisign, Jupiter For Managed Security
San Diego-based Iomega, the storage provider that is making its move into managed services, said today that it is tapping Versign and Juniper Networks for its managed Internet security service. Iomega said it has developed a fully managed Internet security solution using Juniper and VeriSign products. The SMB-focused managed security service are using Juniper's firewall, IPSec VPN, threat management, and SSL VPN products, along with VeriSign's two-factor authentication. The move is part of Iomega's shift into providing virtual private network (VPN) connectivity to small and medium businesses, and follows the firm's acquisition of managed service provider CSCI in August.
