iRise Expands Into Code Generation
El Segundo-based iRise, a developer of tools used by enterprises to prototype and visualize IT software projects, said today that it has shipping a new product which automatically produces code from its visualizations. iRise said its new iRise CodeGen product translates the firm's visualization into either Java or .NET code. Pricing on the new product was not announced. iRise said the code generated does not produce 100% complete code, but does give developers a significant head start on their development efforts. iRise said initial testing has shown that the generated code can cut "weeks or months" off development schedules. iRise is backed by Morgan Stanley Venture Partners and Deutsche Bank.
