Jacobs Buys Federal Network Systems

Pasadena-based Jacobs Engineering Group said this morning that it has entered into a deal to acquire Federal Network Systems (FNS), a provider of system integration and communications, information technology, and data security, which is a subsidiary of Verizon Communications. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. FNS is based in Ashburn, Virginia. Jacobs said the deal will help it enhance its presence in the intelligence community market. FNS helps integrate, secure, and operate voice, data, and video networks for the intelligence community, the Department of Defense, and other agencies.
