Jemae Finds $1.3M For Fashion Startup
Los Angeles-based Jemae, a fashion startup which offers up designer products which help benefit humanitarian projects, said Wednesday that it has raised $1.3M in a seed funding round. The funding came from strategic investors JS Apparel, Inc. and Katmandu, Inc. The company--co-founded by Rob Carpenter and Scott Wilson--said its business is a "cross between TOMS Shoes and Chanel", and will offer up limited-edition designer products, including dresses, scarves, shahs, purses, jackets, and more, all of which benefit social causes.
