Kurion Taps DOE Vet For Fukushima Project
Irvine-based nuclear waste cleanup technology provider Kurion announced this morning that it has named a Department of Energy veteran to lead a new effort at Japan's Fukushima reactor. According to Kurion--which recently announced a deal to clean up water at the plant--it has named Matthew McCormick as Project Director of that effort. McCormick previously had been involved in the nuclear waste cleanup effort at the Hanford, Savannah River, and Rocky Flats cleanup areas here in the U.S.,; he was most recently manager of the DOE's Richland Operations cleanup.
