LA Area Uber Drivers Go On Strike
A group of Los Angeles area Uber and Lyft drivers have gone on strike, protesting a 25 percent cut in pay rates in Los Angeles. According to the group Rideshare Drivers United, Uber recently implemented a 25 percent wage cut to its drivers here. The group is now seeking a guaranteed, $28 per hour minimum rate for drivers. Rideshare Drivers United had called for a 25 hour strike, from midnight at 3/25 until 1 am 3/26. It's unclear if the strike had any influence on availably of Uber rides across LA, and it's also unclear how many drivers are part of the Rideshare Drivers United group.
