Linspire Makes Retail Push

San Diego-based Linspire said this morning that its newest desktop operating system in now available at Best Buy, CompUSA, Micro Center, and other retail stores. The company, which creates and distributes a version of Linux targeted at desktop users, said that retail packaging for its product is now available at over 1000 retail locations. Linspire's Five-O product bundles together popular Linux open source applications such as OpenOffice and other products, and includes easy to use installation tools. Linspire is headed by Michael Robertson, founder of MP3.com and also the new music download company MP3tunes.
