Liquid Instruments Raises $12M

San Diego- and Canberra, Australia-based Liquid Instruments said Wednesday that it has raised $12M in a funding round. The funding was led by Breakthrough Victoria, and also included Lockheed Martin Ventures, Acorn Capital, and Powerhouse Ventures. The company said $10M of the round came from Breakthrough. According to the company, it will use the funding to "significantly expand" its manufacturing operations in Australia, establish a new office in Melbourne, and scale its global operations. The company was founded in Australia in 2014, and is led by co-founder and CEO Daniel Shaddock.
