M-GO Debuts On LG Smart TVs
Los Angeles-based movie and television streaming service M-GO and electronics company LG Electronics said today that they are rolling out M-GO's service on LG's new Internet-connected, smart televisions. The two said that LG is preloading M-Go's software into LG's Smart TV homepage. Financial details of the deal were not announced. M-GO lets users purchase access to movies, via rentals and purchases. M-GO is led by John Batter, and is a joint venture of DreamWorks Animation and Technicolor. The company differentiates itself in the market by offering straight rentals and purchases for specific titles, rather than the more dominant model of subscription access.
