March Capital Leads $10M Investment In Branch Messenger
Santa Monica-based March Capital Partners, along with another local investor, Crosscut Ventures, have both made investments in a new Techstars company, Branch Messenger, Branch announced this morning. Minneapolis-based Branch Messenger, which has offices in Los Angeles, said it is developing a self-service platform for employees, to manage the communications between hourly shift workers and the companies that employ them. The company said it has raised $10M in funding, including a $6.8M Series A funding round led by March Capital Partners, and which also included CrossCut, Techstars Ventures, Matchstick Ventures, and others. Branch is currently part of the Target + Techstars Retail Accelerator, and has already been piloting its software at a number of Target stores, as part of the accelerator. Atif Siddiqi, is founder and chief executive officer of Branch Messenger. March Capital's Jim Armstrong and CrossCut's Brett Brewer were both involved in the investment deal.
