MaxLinear Completes Buy Of Intel's Home Gateway Platform Division
Carlsbad-based MaxLinear said this morning that it has completed its acquisition of Intel's Home Gateway Platform Division. According to MaxLinear, it has raised its revenue expections from the acquisition to $80M to $90M in the first full quarter post close, up from an earlier guidance of $60M to $70M. The two had announced the acquisition on April 6th. The all cash deal was worth $150M. MaxLinear said it raised expectations due to "tranformative work-from-home market dynamics" as well as early adoption of a WiFi product.
