mEgo Gets $833K
Los Angeles-based mEgo, the firm headed by Julia Johnston and Ariel McNichol, and develops software for creating personalized "avatars," has raised $833,025 in a Series A funding round targeted at $1.5M. The funding came to light through a recent regulatory filing by the firm. No details on the investors in the firm have been released by the company. mEgo has an online site which allows users to create their own virtual avatars, which can be connected with social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and other sites.
