Miramar Digital Ventures Targets New $100M Fund
Corona Del Mar-based Miramar Digital Ventures is in the midst of raising a new, $100M venture capital fund, according to a filing from the firm this week. According to the regulatory filing, the firm has raised $68.75M from 14 investors as part of an ongoing fundraising for the firm's second fund, Miramar Digital Ventures II, L.P., in what appears to be the first close on the fund. Miramar Ventures is led by Bruce Hallett and Sherman Atkinson. No details on the fund have yet been released by the venture capital investment firm. Miramar Digital Ventures says on its website that it is a seed and early stage venture fund focused on the Next Evolution of Data; the firm typically invests in the seed or Series A rounds, with follow on capital for future rounds, investing in pre-revenue companies with beta products.
