Motorola, Avery Dennison In RFID Pact
Pasadena-based Avery Dennison and Motorola announced today that Avery Dennison's RFID division will supply its RFID tags to Motorola, as part of a new push to speed RFID deployment in the market. Motorola said it will use Avery Dennison's EPCglobal Gen 2 RFID tags, starting in the second half of 2007. Motorola provides RFID handheld readers, fixed RFID readers, and other RFID systems to its customers. Avery Dennison is a $5.6B company with over 22,000 employees, and is based in Pasadena, California.
