Movie Pilot Acquired By Webedia

Los Angeles-based Movie Pilot has been acquired by Paris-based publishing group Webedia. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to the two, Webedia has acquired the majority of both Movie Pilot and its "distributed video channel for nerd culture", Super News. Webedia was already an investor in Movie Pilot, and been part of Movie Pilot's $16M, Series B funding in September of 2015. Movie Pilot had been led by CEO and Co-Founder Tobi Bauckhage.
