Nanome Picks Up $3M
San Diego-based virtual reality startup Nanome, which is developing technology to help researchers explore the interaction of molecules and molecular compounds using VR, has raised $3M in a funding round, the company disclosed today. The company said the funding was led by Bullpen Capital, as well as Formic Ventures, the venture capital investment firm of Oculus co-founder Michael Antonov. The company is led by CEO and founder Steve McCloskey, an alumni of the nanoengineering program at UC San Diego. Nanome's virtual reality tools allows researchers to interact with molecular structures using VR goggles and controllers.
