NantHealth Raises $200M From Allscripts
Los Angeles-based NantHealth, one of the life sciences companies that is part of billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong's NantWorks, has scored $200M in an investment from Allscripts, the two said Tuesday. According to the two companies, the investment gives Allscripts a 10 percent stake in Nanthealth. The two also said that NantCapital, the personal investment fund of Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, has made a $100M investment into Allscripts. NantHealth is developing genomic and protein-based molecular diagnostics technology, initially aimed at personalizing cancer treatment regimes for patients based on the genetic profile of cancer cells in their system.
