Napster Rolls Out To U.S. Military
Los Angeles-based Napster, the division of Roxio that is marketing online digital music, announced that it is in an agreement with the Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) to distribute Napster's music services throughout the armed forces. Napster's catalog of music will be made available through the Exchange's online store for active, reserve, and retired military personnel. Napster's full catalog of music, both in subscription or in separate downloads, will be offered at a discount to the military. The revived Napster brand was purchased by Roxio for its digital music efforts after the original file swapping service was forced out of business.
