Ezoic Gets $33M For AI Software
Carlsbad-based Ezoic, a developer of artificial intelligence software for the digital publishing market, has raised $33M in a funding round, the company said this week. The funding came from Sageview Capital. Ezoic's software is used by publishers to personalize the placement of ads in websites, using artificial intelligence tools; the company's founder and CEO is Dwayne Lafleur. the company said it will use the funding to expand its platform.

Sidecar Health Finds $18M For Insurance Startup
Los Angeles-based Sidecar Health, a startup offering up health insurance plans, which lets users customize the types of coverage, deductibles, and other details of that insurance coverage, has raised $18M in a funding round, and also launched into the state of Texas. The funding round was led by GreatPoint Ventures, and also included LA's Morpheus Ventures. SpaceX Launches Yet Another Falcon 9 Into Space
Hawthorne-based SpaceX has again sent another payload into space, this time from Florida, where it launched the AMOS-17 satellite for Spacecomm from Pad 40 at Cape Canaveral. According to SpaceX, the launch was the third flight for the Falcon 9 used in the launch, and represents its 25th reflight of one of its rockets. The liftoff happened at 7:23 p.m. EDT, with a deployment of the AMOS-17 satellite approximately 31 minutes after liftoff. The launch is the last for that particular Falcon 9, whic (More info...)

Veritone One Launches New Advertising Service For Influencers

Los Angeles-based social entertainment firm Fullscreen, which is part of Otter media, is targeting LinkedIn with a new platform management and strategy practice, the company announced this morning. According to Fullscreen, the practice will help help brands successfully increase their LinkedIn presence. Viasat To Power JetBlue's Airbus A220-300 Internet Service
Carlsbad-based Viasat will power JetBlue's new Airbus A220-300 fleet, the company announced this morning, in an expansion of Viasat's partnership with JetBlue. According to Viasat, its in-flight connectivity systems will be deployed on JetBlue's new fleet of 70 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, which will begin deliver in 2020, and with an option for 50 additional aircraft.
