EvoNexus Deadline Approaches On Friday

Upfront Ventures Names New Partners
Los Angeles-based venture capital investment firm Upfront Ventures said over the weekend that it has named two new Partners at the firm. The venture investor said it has added Aditi Maliwal as a Partner, and also promoted Michael Carney to Partner. Maliwal was most recently a product manager at Google, and also had served at Crosslink Capital and Deutsche Bank. AeroVironment Wins $45M Contract From U.S. Army
Simi Valley-based AeroVironment, which develops unmanned aerial vehicles for the defense market, has scored a $45M contract award from the U.S. Army, the company said on Monday morning. AeroVironment said the contract came from the United States Army for its Security Force Assistance Brigades (SFAB), and will go towards supporting the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Special Operations Command, National Guard and others. Rocket Lab Places More Small Satellites Into Space
Huntington Beach-based Rocket Lab successfully launched a new set of satellites into space early on Monday morning, in the "Look Ma No Hands" launch. According to Rocket Lab, the mission carried satellites for UNSEENLABS, and a new set of rideshare payloads from Spaceflight, including spacecraft for the BlackSky and United States Air Force Space Command. ScoreStream Connects With Amazon Alexa
San Diego-based ScoreStream, which provides crowdsourced, local sports scores, photos, videos, and more for high school football and other teams, is connecting with Amazon Alexa, the company said on Friday. OpenGate Capital Acquires InRule Technology
Los Angeles-based private equity investor OpenGate Capital announced this morning that it has acquired Chicago-based InRule Technology, a developer of decision management and business rules management software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to OpenGate Capital, it obtained a majority interest in InRule, the fifth investment through its second institutional fund. CloudBlue Signs New Customer
Irvine-based CloudBlue, which develops a platform to let telecommunications companies, technology distributors, managed service providers, and others to sell cloud and digital services, reported a win today with HGC Global Communications Limited (HGC).
