NZXT Gets $100M For Gaming PCs
City of Industry-based NZXT, a maker of custom, gaming PCs, has raised $100M in a strategic investment, the company said this week. The funding came from private equity investor Franciso Partners. Acording to NZXT, the investment will bring on more senior talent, expand its product offering to include new hardware categories, expand its direct-to-consumer offering in new global markets, among other efforts. The investment round also included a number of angels, including Kevin Lin (Co-Founder of Twitch), Vanessa Dew (Co-Founder & CSO of Health-Ade Kombucha), Patrick Lee (Co-Founder of Rotten Tomatoes), James Lin (Co-Founder of CrunchyRoll), Eddie Hartman (Co-Founder of LegalZoom), James Park (Co-Founder & CEO of Fitbit), Kevin Ma (Founder of Hypebeast), and Michael Chen (Co-Founder and President of Pokeworks). NZXT's custom gaming PCs start at $799, but can be customized and can cost more than $3800.
